EVERETT, Mass. —
A man is facing charges after more than $1.5 million was seized in two Massachusetts cities Wednesday after an extensive monthslong undercover investigation, which marked the largest single case money seizure in the history of the Everett Police Department.
Search warrants were granted for residences in Chelsea and Saugus, which resulted in the seizure of $1,500,000 in cash, a firearm and about 1.5 kilos of suspected cocaine, police said.
As a result of the investigation, which was initiated by Everett police, Jendry Morales, 60, of Chelsea, was arrested on an outstanding warrant on several charges, police said. He was also charged with several narcotic-related offenses from the results of the search warrants.
