A 65-year-old man is facing charges after a tractor-trailer hit and run in Vaughan left a pedestrian dead Thursday evening.
The incident happened around 7:20 p.m. near Islington Avenue and Highway 7. A 62-year-old man from Toronto died on scene after being hit by the tractor-trailer, according to police.

The accused, of Whitchurch-Stouffville, left the scene but was later found by police near Steinway Boulevard and Steeles Avenue in Toronto, York Regional Police said in a news release on Friday.
He is charged with dangerous driving causing death and failure to stop at a collision causing death, police said.
Police said Friday they are continuing to investigate.
