The storm that has been the talk of the town all week is here and while travel impacts are possible in the form of a few patchy slushy and slick spots, this will not be a major winter storm for most of Mid-Missouri. Caution is advised while traveling, but given the transition to rainfall many of us won’t see accumulation that lasts very long.
FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAY: TODAY’S STORM SYSTEM
The rain and snow mix will slowly transition to rainfall into the afternoon as temperatures start to warm into the upper 30s.
Through this afternoon and evening the storm system will start to move out of Mid-Missouri and wind speeds will start to increase.
