DETROIT. (WILX) - Michigan State football leads Maryland 24-7 at halftime in the teams’ season finale at Ford Field in Detroit.
Michigan State got the ball first and drove right down the field, culminating in a one-yard touchdown pass from Alessio Milivojevic to Kai Rios. The score was Rios’ first catch as a Spartan.
In the second quarter, Milivojevic hit Omari Kelly for a 46-yard completion that set the Spartans up for a Martin Connington field goal to make it 10-0.
On the Spartans’ next drive, Nick Marsh caught a pass from Milivojevic, bounced off tacklers, and ran into the end zone for a 15-yard touchdown and a 17-0 lead.
Maryland responded quickly with a seven-yard touchdown pass from Malik Washington to Jalil Farooq to cut the lead to 17-7.
