LOUISVILLE, Ky. —
After finishing up a 5-7 season with a 41-0 loss to archrival UofL in the Battle for the Governor's Cup, UK head coach Mark Stoops stood firm in his future plans.
"Am I gonna walk away, are you kidding me?" Stoops said. "Zero means zero, zero percent chance that I walk away. I'm gonna be here as far as I'm concerned, now I can't control decisions that are made. If you're asking me, I said zero, 0% chance that I walk away."
Stoops is the all-time winningest coach in Kentucky football history with 62 wins. He is 62-80 in 13 seasons. Kentucky is 9-16 over the last two years.
They have lost two in row to UofL, by a combined score of 82-14.
He led the Cats to eight straight bowl games, before the recent two year absence.
Stoops' current contract runs through June of 2031
