LOUISVILLE, Ky. —
Several small businesses in Louisville are now trying to get answers after a series of early-morning break-ins on Thanksgiving.
Surveillance video shows thieves targeting at least four local stores, including two well-known comic book shops: Pop’s Comics and Comic Book World.
At Pop’s Comics, owner Shay Nunn woke up around 2 a.m. to an alert on his phone.
“We turned on the cameras from our phone and saw that someone had stolen our cash register and busted our front door,” Nunn said.
Security footage shows a gray Toyota SUV pulling into the parking lot without a license plate. A person can be seen getting out of the vehicle and using a wrench to pry open the front door. Once inside, the thief grabbed only the cash register before running back out.
