Oso has joined the team at the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office.
The Sheriff’s Office recently announced the addition of a new drug sniffing K9 dog to the Mesa County Detention Facility.
Along with handler Deputy William Correll, K9 Oso will be used to detect illicit drugs that may be brought into the booking area of the detention facility and to search the facility for contraband.
After an extensive selection process, Correll was chosen to become Oso’s handler. This fall, Correll completed numerous certification courses to exceed proficiency in working with the animal.
