Syracuse, N.Y. —The games were only one year apart but represent two dramatically opposite ends of the spectrum for Syracuse Football.

On Nov. 30, 2024, Syracuse defeated No. 9 Miami 42-38 before over 40,000 fans at the JMA Dome, capping the greatest comeback in Syracuse history.

On Saturday, Syracuse lost to Boston College 34-12 , a team with a 1-10 record entering a Basement Bowl matchup of the two last-place teams in the ACC.

Syracuse head coach Fran Brown’s mission now is to point the compass back in the direction his program was heading a year ago after the Miami win and as far away as possible from the eight-game losing streak and 3-9 slog his 2025 squad just experienced.
