JEREMY Corbyn and Zarah Sultana will be not lead Your Party into the Holyrood and local government elections after a members’ vote.
Members backed an amendment to the party’s conference which will see it steered by lay members instead.
They also backed a measure to allow members to belong to other parties, a subject of intense controversy during the founding conference in Liverpool which saw people who belong to the Socialist Workers’ Party (SWP) expelled just before the event kicked off.
The party’s ruling committee will need to approve the parties to which Your Party members can belong.
Zarah Sultana boycotted the event in protest over the expulsions, which she characterised as a “witch hunt” .
