WATERBURY, Conn. (WFSB) - An investigation is underway following a shooting incident in Waterbury on Saturday.

According to the Waterbury Police Department, it appears a shooting may have occurred in the area of Walnut Street and Ives Street.

Officials said a man was found suffering from several gunshot wounds at a nearby hospital.

He is now in stable condition.

This incident remains under investigation at this time.

No further details were released.
