THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WCTV) - This holiday season, a widespread shopping tradition is happening all across our area.

Small Business Saturday is a chance for residents, visitors and families to support local independent businesses like Ally B Boutique in Thomasville.

April Fletcher has owned her store for more than 20 years and said she appreciates having support from her community especially during the holiday season.

“We say small business but here we employ almost 17 people so maybe not full-time employees but a lot of the stores employ locals here,” she said.

Fletcher said it’s important to get out in the heart of downtown and support your local shops.
