A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and people have been injured following a disturbance in Altrincham town centre. The incident, which occurred on Railway Street shortly after 3.20am, resulted in four people being injured, two of them seriously, according to Greater Manchester Police.
One 21-year-old man received a wound to the chest and another man in his 20s suffered facial injuries thought to be life-changing. The man who received a wound to the chest remains in a serious and stable condition. Another man, 51, and a woman, 52, were left with minor injuries after being assaulted.
A male suspect has been arrested and remains in custody for questioning.
