LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Louisville police are investigating after a man showed up at the hospital with a gunshot wound on Sunday, Nov. 30.
LMPD said around 5 a.m., staff at UofL Health St. Mary Hospital reported a man who’d been shot in the leg had brought himself to the hospital. He was treated for injuries believed to be non-life-threatening.
Police said after speaking with the victim, the officers learned he had been shot earlier in the morning near Baxter Avenue and Hepburn Avenue in the Highlands. Officers had been called to that same area on a shots-fired report around 3:34 a.m. but had found no victim. The victim and that scene are now believed to be connected.
