Two private planes owned by an LSU booster are set to pick up Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin and others just hours after The Advocate reported on Saturday that LSU was on the doorstep of hiring Kiffin to become the Tigers’ next coach.
Both jets are scheduled to leave Baton Rouge at 1:25 p.m. and are set to land in Tupelo, Mississippi, at 2:10 p.m. The Advocate reported on Saturday that LSU was preparing to send two planes to Mississippi to pick up Kiffin and company on Sunday.
Sources told The Advocate on Saturday that a deal between Kiffin and LSU could be finalized as early as Sunday morning. Although a deal has not been officially struck, Kiffin has, according to multiple reports, been assembling staff members to join him in Baton Rouge for his next move, with Ole Miss also holding
