Multiple teens, 15-17 years old, are in custody after shooting at a Seattle police officer and eluding cops in a stolen SUV on the I-5 freeway last night.
On Nov. 29 at about 9:00 p.m., Community Response Group (CRG) officers, conducting proactive patrols in North Seattle, attempted to stop a Dodge Durango SUV driving erratically and at a high rate-of-speed on Aurora Avenue North. The vehicle fled from the cops, but they did not pursue it.
A short time later, plain police vehicles found the SUV parked in South Seattle and were directing patrol officers towards the vehicle when it began moving again. While going south on I-5, an occupant inside the SUV fired several rounds at a CRG officer in a plain vehicle.
The officer did not get injured, and no Seattle police officers returned fire.
