SEATTLE — Several teenagers were arrested after authorities said they opened fire on a Seattle Police Department (SPD) officer and led law enforcement on a chase down Interstate 5 in a stolen SUV late Saturday night.

According to police, the incident began around 9 p.m. on Nov. 29 when Community Response Group (CRG) officers attempted to pull over a Dodge Durango that was speeding and weaving through traffic on Aurora Avenue North. The driver sped off, and officers chose not to follow.

A short time later, unmarked units located the SUV in South Seattle, but the vehicle took off again. While heading south on I-5, someone inside reportedly fired multiple shots at a CRG officer driving an unmarked car. The officer was unharmed, and police say no one returned fire.
