Fire claimed the life of a person in Ben Avon early Saturday.
Post-Gazette news partner KDKA-TV said in a now-deleted Facebook comment that the Seville Volunteer Fire Company referred to the victim as a resident.
The fire company was dispatched just before 12:30 a.m. Saturday, to a working house fire along Perrysville Avenue, with crews operating on scene until approximately 3 a.m., and the Emsworth Volunteer Fire Department described the fire as stubborn, saying their crews didn't leave until 6 a.m., KDKA said.
The Allegheny County Fire Marshal was investigating along with homicide officers from the county police department.
The person’s identity had not been released.
