HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. (WBTV) - About half a mile of a Huntersville road will temporarily shut down for filming this Monday.
From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 1, the 9600 block through the 10400 block of McCoy Road will be shut down. That stretch is primarily in the Gar Creek Nature Preserve and extends past the creek.
There will also be two soft closures in place, meaning only local traffic will be allowed in. The first will run from Hambright Road to the old farmhouse around 10400 McCoy Road, just past the creek.
The second will run from Beatties Ford Road to 9600 McCoy Road. People who live south of the farmhouse will have to use Beatties Ford Road to get to their homes.
An increase in activity along the road will be expected from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. that day.
