KERNERSVILLE, N.C. — A 19-year-old man is facing multiple charges after police say he crashed a vehicle and fired a gun Sunday evening on U.S. 421 in Kernersville.
Kernersville police said officers responded around 5:39 p.m. to a report of a crash on the southbound side of the highway between Macy Grove Road and Sandy Ridge Road, during which a firearm was discharged. No injuries were reported.
When officers arrived, they found the suspected shooter and took him into custody without further incident, according to the release. Southbound U.S. 421 was shut down for about two hours while investigators processed the scene.
