Our main focus right now is a developing winter weather system that we will be monitoring closely. Starting Monday evening and continuing into Tuesday morning, we expect a light wintry mix to move into portions of southeast Missouri, southern Illinois, and western Kentucky. A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for these areas. We're forecasting up to an inch of snow and sleet, along with a light glaze of ice esp south. This can certainly impact the Tuesday morning commute, making roads slick, especially on elevated surfaces like bridges and overpasses. Untreated sidewalks to become hazardous as well.
