(FOX40.COM) — Sheriff Patrick Withrow from the San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office confirmed that no suspect has been taken into custody in the investigation of the mass shooting that occurred on Saturday evening.
Just before 6 p.m. on Saturday, 15 people were struck, and 4 victims were pronounced dead after a mass shooting occurred at a family birthday party on the 1900 block of Lucile Avenue.
The sheriff's office reported that the four victims fatally shot were ages 8, 9, 14 and 21. At the request of investigators, the sheriff's office said it will not be releasing the names of those who were killed at this time.
Withrow announced on Sunday afternoon that one of the 11 victims hospitalized from the shooting is in critical condition, while the others' status remains unknown.
