WEBSTER COUNTY, W.Va . (WSAZ) - During this time of year, streets are normally filled with bows and decorations for the holidays.
Many community members, like Minnich’s Gift and Flower Shop in Webster Springs, West Virginia, are now hanging blue to honor the loss of own of their own.
“We know and are grateful for her service and that she sacrificed,” Co-owner and Manager of Minnich’s Flower and Little Shop, Penny Graham said.
The many blue ribbons come after West Virginia National Guard Specialist Sarah Beckstrom of Webster County died on Thanksgiving from a shooting near the White House in Washington, DC.
