One man was killed and another was injured in a two-car incident on Thanksgiving Day in Saint Francis County, according to a preliminary police report.

Lyndel Eric Clark, 54, of Colt, was killed in the incident that happened at 7:23 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Arkansas 1 and Arkansas 261 in Caldwell.

According to the report, Clark was driving a 2003 Ford east on Arkansas 261, while Juan Angel Salinas Jr., 28, of San Benito, Texas, was driving a 2019 Chevrolet north on Arkansas 1.

The report says Clark failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with Salinas, who was taken to Forrest City Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.

The investigating Arkansas State Trooper noted the weather was clear and the road was dry.
