The Met Office has issued an amber weather warning, with a month's worth of rain set to arrive and kickstart December in a decidedly damp fashion.

Amber warnings have been put in place for parts of Wales, while yellow warnings cover the rest of the UK , signalling heavy rainfall that could cause significant disruption .

While Birmingham is not currently covered by a warning, it is expected that the whole of the country can expect a rainy Monday morning to start the new month.

As the weather warning comes into effect at midnight on Monday, 1 December, the public is being advised to prepare for potential flooding throughout the day.
