Heavy rain is forecast for south Wales from late Sunday through late Monday, likely causing significant disruption and flooding. The Met Office has issued an amber warning. Here's what you need to know

The amber warning runs until 9pm on Monday.

It covers nearly all of the southern third of Wales from Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire through to Monmouthshire.

A separate yellow warning for nearly all of Wales apart from the very western edge of north Wales also runs until 9pm.

Extensive flooding of homes and businesses is possible, and essential services like power, gas, and mobile phone services may be lost.

Road closures, dangerous driving conditions due to spray, and delays or cancellations to bus and train services are probable.
