DES MOINES, Iowa (KTIV) - As Iowa was hit by its first taste of winter this weekend, the Iowa State Patrol was out fielding hundreds of calls on Iowa roadways.
Beginning at noon on Friday Nov. 28th until noon Sunday Nov. 30th, the ISP reported 856 calls for service. Of those, 210 were crashes with the remaining 646 motorist assist calls.
One of the motorist assist calls ended in a District 9 - Cedar Falls trooper’s vehicle being hit on Interstate 35 near Dows, Iowa. Fortunately, there were no serious injuries reported in that incident.
Of all of the accidents reported until Sunday at noon, there were no fatalities.
