NEDERLAND, Texas — The cold weather didn’t stop families Sunday night from enjoying Nederland First Baptist Church’s annual Christmas light show.
About a dozen families and church members gathered for the fifth year of the nightly event, which features lights, music, Scripture readings and treats.
“It’s a lot of fun, something we look forward to every year,” church member Kaitlyn Shaw said.
The display, synchronized to music, is designed for families to watch from their vehicles — a convenience church members say makes the experience more accessible.
“This place holds a special place in our hearts because of how much it means to us,” member Cain Shaw said. “It means a lot to the community to be able to watch a light show from their cars. someplace where their kids can go and just enjoy
