A man whose dad died from a brain tumour was left devastated after his mum found love again - with a manipulative monster who would go on to break her neck. Trudi Burgess, 57, was rushed to hospital 10 months ago following a horrifying attack at the hands of serial abuser Robert Easom.

Easom, 56, is now facing prison after jurors found him guilty of inflicting grievous bodily harm on the mum-of-two, who is still receiving full-time hospital treatment nearly a year on.
