LIBERTY – The 2025-2026 Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) season is now slated to start December 1st.
The Sullivan County Health & Human Services Commissioner, John Liddle, said, “The original date of November 3rd was delayed due to the federal government shutdown. Now that the shutdown has ended, we’re glad to be able to offer this lifeline to eligible Sullivan County residents.”
Applications are available by calling one of the following places: Action Toward Independence (ATI) at 845-794-4228, Independent Living at 845-794-3322, or the Sullivan County Office for the Aging at 845-807-0241.
Residents in need of HEAP assistance may access it from all New York counties.
