Scotland is now home to many new towns, as settlements across the country increase in size. Scotland has 33 more towns than it did just over a decade ago according to a new report from Scotland's Towns Partnership.
Among the newest towns in is Tweedbank in the Scottish Borders. The town is located southeast of Galashiels, around 35 miles from .
Tweedbank to the 1970s, when it was intended to help regenerate the Borders region. Today, it is home to more than 2,000 people.
The town features a number of shops, including convenience stores and specialist shops such as Just Cycle. Meanwhile, lovers can head to brewery Tempest Brewing Co—previously named one of the top 100 breweries in the world.
