NORTH ROYALTON, Ohio — Electricity has been restored to thousands of people who were without power Monday morning in Cuyahoga County -- most of the outages had impacted the North Royalton area.
FirstEnergy’s outage map showed there were 8,456 customers without power as of 9 a.m. Monday, with 7,538 of those in North Royalton.
FirstEnergy tells 3News the outage was caused by an animal.
The North Royalton Police Department joked on social media that the outage was caused by an Elf on the Shelf:
