Happy first day of meteorological winter: It is definitely feeling like it with temperatures in the 40s, well below average for this time of the year.
This fall, that wasn't the case. The average temperature was 72.4 degrees, which tied for the second-warmest meteorological fall season on record for DFW since records started in 1898.
Tuesday, temperatures will dip into the 30s, which is expected to be the first freeze for DFW. Most of the other counties have already witnessed their first freeze, which was at the beginning of November.
Remember to protect the 4 "Ps"...Pets, pipes, plants, and people!
Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday temperatures will climb. The next big front is scheduled to push through the area early Thursday morning, which will bring back the chance for rain and cool
