Black Friday shoppers spent significantly more money online this year, and despite the threat of in-store riots, people even spent slightly more in stores.
If you missed Black Friday, there was another opportunity to spend on Small Business Saturday, which often comes with a sense of obligation to support local businesses.
Dec. 1 is not only National Eat a Red Apple Day and Bifocals at the Monitor Liberation Day, but also Cyber Monday, offering another chance for shoppers to continue their spending spree. Then there’s Giving Tuesday, a day to try to make oneself feel better and justify purchases that might lead to financial strain.
Finally, Wednesday is National Package Protection Day, raising awareness about porch piracy.
