DES MOINES, Iowa ( KCCI ) - Flights at the Des Moines International Airport were grounded for more than 12 hours after an airplane slid off a runway Saturday night.

The Federal Aviation Administration says Endeavor Air Flight 5087 slid off the end of a runway while turning onto a taxiway at Des Moines International Airport in Iowa around 9:30 p.m. local time. Stairs were used to remove passengers from the flight. The FAA is investigating the incident, and NTSB told KCCI it is “aware of the event and collecting information but have not opened an investigation.”

Airport officials say nobody was injured.
