MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WSMV) - Multiple activist groups are planning to protest recent decisions made regarding school and public libraries in Murfreesboro.
Before Monday’s Rutherford County Library System board meeting in Murfreesboro, people plan to meet at the Murfreesboro Plaza on West Vine Street to voice their opposition to recent decisions made by the RCLS board.
These organizations list the RCLS’s decision to remove policies created by the American Library Association, multiple library closures, and the removal of books as the biggest reasons for the rally.
“We invite all members of the community who care about our public libraries and making sure we maintain full access to information to join us December 1st,” said Tatiana Silvas.
