PULASKI, Tenn. (WSMV) - An investigation is underway after a person was found dead after being trapped inside an apartment during a fire over Thanksgiving weekend in Tennessee.

The Pulaski Fire Department reports that crews responded to an apartment fire on Cleveland Street on Sunday night.

Crews were able to extinguish the fire at the Hidden Valley Apartments and later found the victim inside deceased.

The cause of the fire is now being investigated by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, according to the fire department.

Several units from nearby departments assisted in battling the fire.
