SPRING HILL, Tenn. (WSMV) - The Spring Hill lawmaking body is set to formally request a new emergency medical services unit for the city.

The Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) in Spring Hill is set to pass a resolution Monday night to formally request a third EMS unit that would be “dedicated to Spring Hill and housed at the Earwood Station,” according to the mayor.

There are currently two EMS units dedicated to serving Spring Hill. Mayor Matt Fitterer said adding another would help residents of Spring Hill and Williamson County.

“Spring Hill is currently staffed with two dedicated EMS units, but there is a clear need for a third based on call patterns and population growth,” a Facebook post from Fitterer said.
