Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer just threw his support to Democrat Bale Dalton as Dalton runs in Florida’s 7th Congressional District.

Dyer, Orlando’s longest-serving Mayor, endorsed the former NASA Chief of Staff as he looks to unseat GOP U.S. Rep. Cory Mills .

In a statement announcing his support, Dyer focused on Dalton’s military biography.

“As a Navy combat veteran, he has lived a life of service — putting duty, country, and community above politics,” Dyer said.
