The St. John Bosco boys cross country team worked together for a top-five finish at the CIF State Cross Country Championships at Woodward Park in Fresno on Saturday, Nov. 29.
Bosco finished 5th out of 25 teams with 200 points in the Division 3 boys final on the 3.1 mile course. Campolindo High won with 96 points. West Torrance was second with 146 points. Oak Park was third with 171 points. West Ranch was fourth with 178 points.
The Braves were led by sophomore Jay Lopez, who finished 30th overall in 15:40.2. Junior Edward Medina was right on Lopez’ heels and finished 38th in 15:41.5. Junior Aaron Garcia was 56th in 15:51.9. Junior Justin Arredondo was 68th in 16:01.4. Junior Joseph Toledo was 69th in 16:01.5. Junior Caleb Paniagua was 93rd in 16:17.2. Junior Nicolas Medina was 101st in 1
