STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — In the “Big Heart” department, Executive Chef, Mike DiLeo played host to “Savor the Cause,” a cocktail-style soiree staged in Max’s Esca, the proceeds of which benefited Michael’s Cause.
The gala that came replete with live music, gourmet food and high-style martinis — celebrated the fifth anniversary of Chef Mike giving back to the organization, which supports the fight against Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
Chef Mike DiLeo is a Michelin-trained executive chef who provides culinary experiences for fundraisers and private events in the New York and New Jersey area.
Inclusive of 150 guests, the sold-out event in the Dongan Hills dining spot raised more than $16,000, which helps fund research to fight the progressive neuromuscular disorder that results in degeneration
