(WGGB/WSHM) -- A Western Massachusetts native recently competed for the chance to be the leading role in and upcoming Hallmark Christmas movie as part of the network’s first-ever reality competition series.

Robbie Simpson is one of 10 contestants on “Finding Mr. Christmas.” In the show, participants live together and compete for the lead role in an upcoming original holiday movie. The show combines physical and acting challenges as contestants vie for the coveted starring role. “I grew up watching Hallmark movies here, like with my mom, on the couch, with the hot cocoa,” Simpson said. “And so the idea of getting to be able to tell these stories just means so much to me.”
