For a quarter-century the Ranger family in Mattawa has not been able to share Christmas with Adam who died in 2000 after being struck by a car after getting off a school bus in that community. A tragedy that launched a province-wide school bus safety campaign bearing Adam’s name for 25 years and continues today.

For the last six years, the Ranger family has run the ‘Let’s Remember Adam-Fill the Bus’ event to collect food and toys to give to the Mattawa Food Bank to share with local families.
Debbie Ranger, Adam’s mother, says there will always be some connection with the Fill the Bus campaign and her son.
