DU QUOIN, Ill. (WSIL) -- The City of Du Quoin announced a road closure starting Monday for demolition work.

E. Main Street at the 100 block, near Main and Mulberry, will be closed to all traffic during the day beginning December 1, 2025.

The closure will be variable, with the road open during the evening hours for about one week.

Officials advise drivers to plan alternate routes until further notice.
