The Met Office has issued an amber weather warnings for parts of Wales, warning of possible power cuts and flooding. Nearly a month's rain was predicted to fall in just 24 hours from Sunday until 11.5pm on Monday as "fast flowing or deep floodwater is possible, which could cause a danger to life".
Over 40 Natural Resources Wales (NRW) flood alerts are also in place, with two particularly severe warnings for River Hydfron at Llanddowror and the River Ely at Peterston Super Ely. The organisation advised residents to anticipate flooding of low-lying areas, car parks, recreational grounds and agricultural land.
