It was three games and mainly good vibes on the weekend for the two Nipissing Lakers hockey teams as the OUA (Ontario University Association) enters the midseason break.
At the end of the proceedings, it was two wins and an overtime loss for the clubs.
Mike McParland’s men’s team were the busiest on the weekend, playing Saturday and Sunday. Saturday, it was Queens as the visitors and the Lakers were up 4-2 in the third period before falling 5-4 in overtime.
Noah Vom Scheidt scored two goals and added an assist. Kyle Foreman scored a goal and added 3 assists in what turned into a painful loss, although the Lakers did earn a point in the defeat.
On Sunday, Ontario Tech visited Boart Longyear Memorial Gardens to put a bow on the first half of the season.
