LEXINGTON, N.C. — Investigators now say a refrigerator inside a motorhome is the most likely cause of the fire that killed three family members Tuesday morning on Kimberly Lane, according to a newly released report from the Davidson County Fire Marshal’s Office.
The house fire, which began around 4:30 a.m. on Nov. 25, started in a motorhome parked beside the residence and quickly spread to the home where five people were asleep, officials said. Two adults escaped. Three others — a woman, her sister and her 3-year-old daughter — did not survive.
The three people who died in the fire have been identified as:
Alysha Clark, 32
Megan Clark, 29
Maddy Edge, 3 — Megan’s daughter
Firefighters pulled Maddy from the home and rushed her to the hospital, but she later died from her injuries. Webs
