DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) - A Duluth non-profit just learned it’s getting a $2.5 million donation from a fund tied to Amazon’s founder.

The Bezos Day 1 Fund shared its 2025 list of grantees on their website on Monday.

Among the more than 30 recipients is Chum in Duluth, a non-profit dedicated to serving people who are homeless.

According to the Day 1 Fund’s website, the goal behind these donations is to help families find permanent housing and access services that help them reach stability.

The Bezos Day 1 Fund has been issuing grants like these for eight years now.
