Despite the Jets and Giants languishing in last place, New Jersey is going to be well represented at the Super Bowl.
Charlie Puth, a Monmouth County native, has been tapped to perform "The Star-Spangled Banner" at Super Bowl LX, the NFL announced.
The Rumson native's performance is part of the pregame festivities for the game, which will be held Sunday, Feb. 8 at Sofi Stadium in Los Angeles.
Puth, whose hit songs include "See You Again" and "We Don't Talk Anymore" is performing ahead of the release of his new album, "Whatever's Clever!" on Friday, March 6.
Country music star Brandi Carlile will be performing "America the Beautiful," while Coco Jones is performing "Lift Every Voice and Sing." Bad Bunny was previously announced as the halftime performer
Puth attended the Holy Cross School and Forrestdale Middle School in Rumson before graduating from the Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School in 2010. In October, he announced his wife Brooke was pregnant with the couple's first child.
