NORTH CAROLINA (WECT) - Starting in December, North Carolina will implement new mandatory harvest reporting requirements.
On Dec. 1, the North Carolina Division of Marine Fisheries (NCDMF) will require recreational fishers to report the following species of fish that they catch and keep to the division:
Flounder
Red Drum
Striped Bass
Spotted Seatrout (speckled trout)
Weakfish (gray trout)
These should be reported through an online form or an upcoming iPhone app.
