BROOKLYN HEIGHTS — Foundation and demo work has begun at 38-44 State St. in the Willowtown section of Brooklyn Heights, converting a one-story former parking garage to a five-story condo (with five units), and below-ground parking.
The yellow-brick facade facing Willow Place will be preserved, with the new condo set back behind it, according to plans presented by The Brooklyn Studio to the Landmarks Preservation Commission on June 17.
